Making our website more accessible
National Inclusion Week 2026 (14–20 September) is a chance to reflect on what inclusion looks like in practice.
At Aphasia Support, we know that communication can look different for everyone. That’s why we’ve added the Recite Me Assistive Toolbar to our website, giving visitors more choice and control over how they access our content.
The toolbar offers a range of adjustments to make our website easier to use, including:

🔊 Text-to-speech - have website content read aloud.

🔠 Text customisation - change text size, font, colour and spacing.

🎨 Colour adjustments - customise the colours of the text, links and background.

👀 Focus tools - use a reading ruler, screen mask or focus text to help concentrate on the content.

📖 Reading aids - use a dictionary, page summariser or magnifier to support reading and understanding.

🌍 Translation - translate website content into more than 100 languages.

🖱️ Cursor options - adjust the size and colour of the cursor to make it easier to follow.
